In this assignment you will be required to research and present a short video report on your findings. Your report will be related to your investigation of sustainability, environmental practices and regulations in one of the following industries (you may choose): – Water and waste water – Agriculture – Mining – Construction – Pest Control – Telecommunication – Electrical and Electronics. You should choose an industry related to your major. (e.g. if you are studying civil engineering you should choose, an industries more related to civil engineering or how another industry could use civil engineering to help solve its problems). Your video report should include the following: – A brief introduction of who you are – A list of references at the end – You on-camera presenting information – A visual aide (e.g. printouts, Power-Point, drawings, a model, etc.) – A discussion of what the main challenges in this industry are – A discussion of regulations that affect this industry – Examples of how the industry is adapting in terms of sustainability and environmental practice You will be assessed based on what you present and how you present it. You should aim to communicate clearly, enthusiastically and concise, minimises pauses and background noise. Consider basic video editing.
