To correct this condition, an orthodontist might usean archwire and a bracket to apply both a force and a torqueto thetooth. In the case shown, the forces and produce a net force in the positive direction of 1.7 and a torque about the center of the tooth (theorigin of the coordinate system)of 0.0097 .The question asks to find the forces F1 and F2.
