simple ethical and moral concept
simple ethical and moral concept
This topic represents the second participation event of this class; it concerns a simple ethical and moral concept. For this topic, the subject concerns your analysis of a simple scenario taken from Chapter 2 of Michael J. Quinn’s textbook “Ethics for the information age,” third edition, of 2009. It has been attached for your convenience. The scenario asks seven questions, which should not involve long, long answers, please incorporate them into your initial response. Remember, stick with the facts presented, do not let supposition or assumptions divert you, as it may in the real world (i.e., since your personal experience and perceptions will tend to influence you away from consideration of the simple facts). You may discuss any suppositions in Q7. Please address the questions and after the analysis, please feel free to add in other pertinent comments or experiences with similar situations as you see fit!
In order to receive full participation credit (i.e., one point) for this Discussion Topic, students must provide an initial response to the week’s discussion topic by midnight, Eastern time, on Thursday (9-21-17) of the coming week, AND respond to at least two postings from other students to the current week’s discussion topic by the end of the class week (midnight, Eastern time, Sunday (9-24-17)). The initial response is worth 1.00 points and the two replies to the other students’ posting are worth .50 points each. Please see the Grading Rubric for Class Participation in the Syllabus.
Responses to Discussion Topic 2 will not be accepted after Midnight of 9-24-17
Participation is open-ended and has no holds barred (mechanics are not evaluated and objectivity is not required, although this is a perfect opportunity to practice). When preparing a response to a discussion topic in a Conference Session, the following suggestions apply:
