Search for an article on time management.
Don’t just type in “time management” into the search bar. Think about what you would like to know about time management. Maybe you have a busy family life, and would like to know more about “time management and families.” Or maybe you want to make sure that as a student you manage your time wisely. Could you search for time management tips for students? Play around with entering search terms in ProQuest to find what will be most helpful for you.
Don’t simply select the first article in the search results. You may have to scan through a few articles before you find the one that you want to use for your paper. Make sure that you select an article that is interesting and relevant to you. For example, the article “Time Management practices in an African culture: correlates with college academic grades” could be interesting to you, but it may not be relevant.
Once you have read your article, you can start on your paper:
- Select two-three ideas, points, or tips about time from the article that you find interesting and relevant to you.
- Why did you select those points?
- How can you connect them to your own life?
- Can you build a personal schedule to manage your school work with the other important aspects of your life?

- Your essay should be 300-500 words and formatted in APA style.
