Assignment Preliminary Investigative Report(100 points)During the first four weeks of this course you have been given access to various pieces of information in the form of photographs, autopsy reports, diagrams, and other case documents regarding the 2011 death of Michelle O’Connell in St. Augustine, FL.This assignment is to prepare a Preliminary Report of Investigation that can serve as a foundation or a template for developing the Final Report of Investigation due at the end of Week 8.The preliminary report should consist of bullet points regarding the following areas:A timeline of relevant occurrences and their relationship to each other;A list of relevant conclusions formed by forensic experts;A list of investigative tasks that have been completed and the relevant evidence obtained;A preliminary analysis of key pieces of evidence and possible theories of how the incident occurred;For each theory of how the incident may have occurred, list additional examinations, interviews or searches that you would like to conduct in order to obtain additional specific evidence to support or conflict with that theory;A list of any possible offences that may be charged and the elements of each offense (you may use the elements for each crime listed as they appear in your jurisdiction, or in the Florida penal code, available here: http://statelaws.findlaw.com/florida-law/florida-criminal-laws.html.
