Using a scanning and enumeration tool that was identified or chosen and then installed from DB3, perform a scan against your local desktop, and supply the following information about your organization:

  • A description about the tool that you used to perform the scan
  • A list of identified target host or hosts in your environment

At this point, redact the first 3 octet information, only leaving the last octet for further identification. For example, if the tool reports that it found 3 servers, as follows:

  • 192.168.1.100
  • 192.168.1.101
  • 192.168.1.102

Do not report or list those Internet protocols (IPs). Instead, list them as follows:

  • XXX.XXX.XXX.101
  • XXX.XXX.XXX.102

Answer the following questions:

  • What is the detected operating system of the servers?
  • What are the running services that are detected on each?
