Senior management are considering cutting back on project planning activities, with the reasoning that both companies have the same functions and no planning is needed to merge operations, because the previous merger in 1972 ran smoothly and they didn’t have project management back in those days. It is July. Hurricane Tara has recently formed near Mexico. Everyone is still recovering from the effects of Hurricane Shep a couple of weeks ago.
