You will develop and present a short (approximately 15 minute) presentation on a risk methodology, it can be one we have been studying or one you have found and researched.

  • Review the different Risk Management methodologies in the course textbook and Technical Guides listed above (ISO/IEC 27005, FAIR, OCTAVE, & ISACA RiskIT, COBIT 5, etc.) or others that you find.
  • Provide a summary of the methodology and how it would be used within a business. Present the strengths and weaknesses of your selected approach. Include where the use of the methodology would be beneficial and where it may not be.
  • Also consider, does it take special training to use, is there a cost associated with its use, is there a large body of knowledge available to pull examples from.
  • The presentation should include charts and diagrams where needed to illustrate your points
  • If you choose one of the methodologies we have discussed in class your presentation must provide new information – add to what we know – versus repeating previous information
