Information Security Management, computer science assignment help
DONE FOR WEEK_1
we are going to create a blog each week and the guide lines are:
All students enrolled in CIS 608 must create and maintain a blog for the duration of the course. That is, each week you are required to post to your information security blog. The posts should follow a theme and be relevant to information security. Information in your posts should not only contain information you have discovered, but also contain your thoughts or analysis of what you have discovered. Therefore, it is important to select a theme that is of interest to you.
The blog assignments are graded and are a significant percentage of your grade.

this is an example of how it must be presented:
There are many superb resources available demonstrating cybersecurity blogs. Below are some examples.
The Security Blogger’s Network – http://www.securitybloggersnetwork.com/
The SANS.org website provides access to several blogs that should be of interest to the CIS 608 students. The attachment describes each of the blogs and provides a link to where the blogs can be accessed.

Introduction:
In this blog, I seek to keep posting interesting facts and findings about the different implications of mobile applications on the security of the personal information of users. This is my preliminary work in the blogging arena and I am just so hopeful that my posts will greatly help you to find the right perspective on what your mobile applications can and cannot do for you. The idea is especially true when the integrity of your personal communication stands on the way to your privacy and discretion. Well come to this blog space and please help me do more by letting me have your comments and suggestions.
Mobile Applications and Personal Information Security:
In this modern era everyone has access to mobile devices and the technology is now getting through the roof with the introduction of smartphones that run on mobile applications. The development has been so fast making us forget that everything positive has its negative sides. We fail to consider that and end up being victims of technological assault. That is why I chose to start this series of blog posts to shed light on this issue and help people to stay in control of their applications. In this first article, I would wish to just introduce the entire area of mobile applications in the life of human being and then discuss a few issues attached to it.
Mobile applications are the software functionalities that you find in your new smartphone when you buy it. They get designed in a manner that makes them relatively easy to use for any lay person. Most of the applications involve functions relating to information transmission to vast populations or individuals. Others work to encapsulate or hide crucial personal information from unauthorised access. On a general scope, most of the mobile application packages help the users to have fun and interact with their friends and family or even build new connections. The fact that the owner of a mobile gadget can hide private information is a positive idea but there are still other glaring risks to the security of personal information with the use of mobile applications.
With mobile applications, it is hard for someone to avoid keeping a record of online conversations and other private transactions. The information resides within the mobile device and is prone to hacking. Hacking is the malicious break-in to access personal information without permission. Someone could lose important information or get into tough situations when such information comes to the public domain. It can lead to defamation and loss of self-confidence. That is why people ought to ensure careful operations to avoid this negative result. It is wise to go for devices from trusted vendors and manufacturers to be sure of the integrity of personal information. You should also remember to encrypt your device with safe passwords to bar others from interfering with your privacy. This is just but one of the effects. Next week we look at the other implications of the applications on personal information security and the steps to take to prevent such issues.
