Identify what CWFA
You are the CISO {Chief Information Security Officer] for a multi-national corporation named Cleanwaterforall (CWFA). You are required to provide a status of the company’s information security program at the next board meeting. You are concerned because of ramifications of the attached case. Cleanwaterforall has recently had a senior IT employee from its’ location in INDIA leave for a position with a government agency – akin to the US’s Department of Environmental Protection. The IT department, including this employee, was working on a highly sensitive and confidential internal program to catalog and track individuals globally that are involved with water rights within governments. While you as the CISO have no proof that the former IT department employee has breached the system or otherwise disclosed this sensitive project – you are concerned. Leaking this information could result in embarassment/reputational damage for CWFA, make fundraising more difficult and strain government relations.
