1. Before I cite something I like to read the whole article or most of what I’m citing from. If it a book I am not going to sit and read the whole book but when it comes to articles or small journals I read all of it so I know what the topic is about and what the author is saying. When it comes to taking notes out of sources I will cite it my own kind of way so I know what article it came from and where to find it. The main reason I document my research and sources is so that as I’m going along writing my notes I know where the information came from and how to cite it in my paper. My biggest problem with APA formatting is citing properly in my draft paper I was told some where formatted wrong so this week I will be going to the library to do some tutorials and figure out what I’m not doing right. The school library is like my number one tool it has everything you need I love it.

This allows the reader to look deeper into your argument and see where you got your support from. They can then see if you used your references correctly, or if you twisted the original authors words to make them fit into your own argument, to make your point stronger. They also can create their own opinion based on your references and compare how you used the support in your argument to how they would use your support in their own argument.
