Final Presentations – Sales Management 1.) Tory Burch has decided to become a global “mega brand” in the affordable luxury zone, distributing apparel, shoes and accessories to better Department and Specialty locations throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Ms. Burch has contacted your sales consulting firm to help her build the “Tory Burch Sales Organization of 5 Years from Now.” What will it look like? The “cases” outlined above have been purposely left somewhat open ended, allowing you to explore areas that are of particular interest to you. Each presentation should, however, include the following: a.) A “mission statement” of not more than 3 sentences for the organization you are about to “build.” b.) Three major objectives that will guide your strategies and tactics. c.) The identification of 2 primary competitors and how you will build a sustainable advantage to “win’ vs those competitiors. d.) An “organizational chart” outlining a reporting structure and roles and responsibilities; eg will your structure be based on geography, customer, product line – or some combination thereof? e.) A detailed job description for your most Senior Sales Executive, a Sales Manager and a Sales Representative; the text will be helpful on this, though you should be sure to include things like years of experience, companies worked for and personal profile (what motivates them?). f.) Compensation package, including both financial and non-financial rewards, for each of the positions noted above. g.) Training programs you will believe will be most effective (and the firm you will engage to conduct them) for each of the 3 levels noted above. (Senior Sales Executive, a Sales Manager and a Sales Representative). h.) A list of the 3 Retail organizations that you believe will be your largest customers within 3 -5 years and why you believe this to be so. (Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Saks Fifth Avenue). i.) Something “unexpected,” that in your opinion will make this venture a “slam dunk” success. The assignment consists of a 5 -7 page paper , and 15 minute PP presentation, posted in BB the night before you present your proposal to the class. The evaluation of your project will be based on the following: 1.) Proper grammar, syntax and presentation style. 2.) Full coverage of the deliverables outlined above. 3.) The inclusion of something unsolicited that “wows”. 4.) An understanding of why you made your specific proposals.
