Diversity Management Within an Organization Case Project

Diversity Management Within an Organization Case Project

This is the beginning of the Diversity Case Project, which will have various steps due throughout the course.

The objective of this project is to identify a resolved critical incident and, as a group, analyze another group’s incident and develop alternative solutions to solve the problem.

STEP 1: INDIVIDUAL RESEARCH

DIRECTIONS:

Each Group member should perform individual research to find at least one resolved suitable incident for this project. The best topics will involve a unique situation or a difficult decision where there could be several possible solutions. Whatever your topic, it must relate to diversity and/or diversity management within an organization. Your research should also include journals, magazine articles, newspaper, lawsuits, blogs related to your topic.

Critical incident search topics could include: diversity-related lawsuits, best practices for managing diversity such as work-life balance programs, social identity groups such as military veterans, Asians etc.

You will post a case summary of your incident in the next step.

STEP 2: INDIVIDUAL SUMMARY OF CRITICAL INCIDENT (current diversity event)

DIRECTIONS:

After you have completed your individual research, write a one-to-two page summary of the critical incident you have selected. As a group, in a later step, you will be picking one of the critical incidents to use as your topic, so your individual summary should also include why it should be considered as your group’s project topic. Keep in mind, your group’s chosen topic will be shared with another group for them to develop possible solutions.
