1. Control systems work by sensing some aspect of our environment, like temperature, pressure, flow, level, magnetism, resistance, etc. They typically convert this measured value (MV) into an electric signal that can then be used by a controller. The controller has algorithms that determines how to modify some controlled value (output) that can be used to open or close a valve, start a motor, turn on a heater or light, etc.

Find two links on the internet and post them here – one for some type of sensor and one for some type of final control element. Describe in 1-2 sentence each what they are. Here is an example:

Sensor: http://automatedsonix.com/ul-100/ This is an ultrasonic level sensor that can measure liquid level in a tank without contacting the fluid.

Final control element: https://www.flowserve.com/en/products/valves/butterfly-valves/high-performance-butterfly-valves/high-performance-butterfly-valves-big-max-bx2001 This is a butterfly valves, there are many types of valves.

2. I work for Applied Control Engineering, Inc. Go to our website and tell me either one service or one platform and technologies that we offer. Try not to duplicate anything someone else has chosen. For full credit (the last two points), search my name and send me an e-mail with the name of the article I wrote for the MESA blog.
