For this assignment, you will use the counseling and developmental theories, readings, and materials from the course materials as a framework to analyze the development of the child or adolescent in the movie.
Students will watch one of the films listed below, with a child or adolescent as a main character and some family and individual challenges. Students will briefly summarize the plot (at least 20-25% of the paper). Students will then discuss theories, evidence-based interventions, and techniques they can use as counselors to work with that child/adolescent and their family. Provide research to support your treatment plans.
Your complete paper should be double-spaced between 3-4 pages in the most current APA format. Your paper should reference course material and other pertinent research.
- The paper should briefly summarize the plot (no more than 20-25% of the paper).
- The paper should also discuss theories, evidence-based interventions, and counseling techniques that could be used to work with that child/adolescent and their family.
- Provide research to support your treatment plans.
It would be best if you incorporated appropriate evidence-based interventions.
- Please use at least two appropriate scholarly references formatted in the most current APA format.
- An abstract is not required.
