Write an assembly program titled”YourLastName_Program1″ that prints out “Hello world”, your name, the name of your favorite video game, the name of your favorite film, and the name of your favorite song and the artist(s) who play it. Remember, this course will use the SPIM emulator for MIPS processors. Make sure your programs work on these emulated machines.
What to turn in:
– Soft copy of the program (the .s file)
– A project report analyzing your solution according to the format given (submit it as a .doc file)
Program Report Format Specification
Use a standard font such as courier, Times Roman, etc. at 12 point. Italic fonts, bold fonts, and script fonts are not acceptable. Black ink is required.
It is composed of the following sections:
Section 1. Project description
Section 2. Project specification
Section 3. Testing methodology
Section 4. Lessons learned
The section names as listed above (including the word “Section”•) are part of the format and head each section. The project description will usually be provided as part of the project handout, rewrite it here in your own words (what is your project meant to accomplish?). The specification includes the requirements for the project and how your project meets them. Testing methodology includes what you did to insure correctness. This section would outline what you used to verify code correctness including but not limited to test data and description of the test drivers. This testing strategy would test every method and user defined or raised exception if relevant. Lessons learned describes what doing and analyzing the project taught you, if anything. Please be concise, make your project report between 1 – 2 pages long. Focus on your testing methodology and lessons learned.
