Students will complete the assigned ranking tasks which are in the Ranking Task folder on Blackboard under the Course Content Heading in the le“subject areas” for a total of twelve ranking tasks which ALL must be completed. Completion of the assignment includes ranking the items as well as providing an explanation to defend the order of the items. This assignment will handed in as a word document and your answers for each ranking task will take the form as given below:
Give the name of the ranking
Rank the astronomical concepts in the order as indicated by the ranking task
Give a brief defense of the order that was chosen. The explanation must be in completesentences using astronomical vocabulary Any resources used in the process of this assignment must be cited properly . In-text citations include both quoted and paraphrased material.
For each “subject area” of the ranking tasks, the student will describe one piece of equipment used to gather the astronomical data provided in the ranking task and the current limitations of that piece of equipment. A complete answer will including the characteristics given below:
Describe the components of the equipment
Describe how the equipment works
Describe the limitations of the equipment
Any resources used in the process of this assignment must be cited properly including in-text citations. In-text citations include both quoted and paraphrased
ASSIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS:
The assignment as a whole, not for each ranking task, must have a minimum of 2 pages typed in Times New Roman 12-pt font, double-spaced with 1” margins. The Works Cited page is not included in the assigned page
MLA or APA style format and documentation for parenthetical citations and a Works Cited page.
A minimum of 5 scholarly sources (Not Wikipedia) is GRADING:
