Article Critique (Quantitative):
For this assignment you will select a quantitative article published within the last 5 years that
relates to treatment of clients diagnosed with addiction challenges. You will read the article
critically and complete your paper organized in four sections: Introduction; Results;
Discussion; and Critique. The Introduction should summarize the purpose of the study, the
theoretical framework, the method (type of methodology and how analyzed) and participants.
The Results section should outline the most pertinent findings of the study. The Discussion
section should articulate how those findings are applicable to your study, program review or
client. Finally, the Critique section should include a discussion of any issues you believe may
have an impact on the validity, reliability, or applicability of the results of this study, along
with any recommendations for future research that you believe should be added, and any other
reactions you have to this study.
Your final product will be in a WORD document and be approximately 2 pages in length.
Your Critique should be written in a clear, concise, and organized manner; demonstrate
ethical scholarship in accurate representation and attribution of sources; and display
accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
