Cloud Computing and Software Testing Assignments, computer science homework help

Q1.1 Inwhat situations are experience-based techniques like exploratory testing most valuable and how do they compare to requirements driven testing techniques using well-crafted test conditions and test cases?

Requirement: 100 to 150 Words

Q 1.2. What are the pros and cons of relying on test coverage as an indicator of testing quality?

Requirements:Analysis should be at least 150 and less than 250 words.

Q1.3.Define test coverage, statement coverage, decision coverage and branch coverage, and identify how each is measured.

Requirement: Two Pages

Q1.4. This presentation from NIST is a little dated, yet it still provides a good overview of Cloud Computing Management: “Presentation on Effectively and Securely Using the Cloud Computing Paradigm v26“.  Read the publications linked at the top of this page and review that presentation.  Once you do, pick one of the topics below for your week 8 main post.  Answer it as if you’re an IT Manager.

1.  One of the benefits of cloud computing is its elasticity / ability to scale on demand. Explain this concept.  How would an IT Manager use it to ensure the right amount of computing storage, processing and virtual network bandwidth is being used?  Provide examples of when a cloud environment would need to be scaled up and scaled down.

2.  There are four cloud deployment models (see slide 13).  Compare two of these models. Provide examples of when an IT Manager would use each model. Include the advantages and challenges of each.  [Note: If you pick this question after it’s been answered by another student, make sure you don’t discuss the same two models.]

3.  Explain the steps you would take to migrate an in-house application or service to a cloud service.  Include how you’d ensure a smooth transition to the cloud.

4.  As an IT Manager using cloud services, how do you ensure your data is properly protected?  What steps would you take and questions would you ask?  Include a discussion about disaster recovery.

5.  A key service provided by CSPs is logging and auditing. Explain how you’d ensure the right information is being logged by your CSP.  Include the type of information that should be logged and who’s responsible for reviewing the log data.  Make sure you backup your answer.

6.  Explain the role of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with CSPs.  Provide examples of SLAs.  How would an IT Manager ensure an SLA is being met by the CSP?  What can the IT Manager do if it’s not.

7.  Review the SaaS Maturity Levels.  Explain and provide an example for each.

8.  Explain the concept of Utility Computing. How could this benefit a small business without a lot of computing needs? Provide at least one additional reference.

9.  Explain the concept of Service Oriented Architectures. Include it’s benefits and challenges and how it could be used within an IT Department. Provide at least one additional reference.

10.  Explain Cloud Economics. Why is this an important concept for IT Managers using cloud services?  Provide at least one additional resource from the past two years on this topic.

Pick one of the Topic and Answer it with around 300 Words.

Q1.5. The references above provide an overview of CSA, ITIL, and ISO standards and how they might be applied to cloud security management. What they do not discuss is how the NIST proposed standards fit into this discussion. Your task this week is to create an overview of the NIST Cloud Security Management publications, how they relate to CSA, ITIL, and ISO, and how they can be used in an organization. Start with the NIST page on Cloud Computing. Your paper should be a minimum of three pagesof contentin length andat least oneoriginalimage, figure, diagram, table, or infographic that graphically explains one or more of the concepts.
