Professional Development:
During your stay at Temple, you will be provided with a number of opportunities to prepare yourself for a career in business. Having the academic credentials is necessary, but not sufficient, to prepare you for a successful career. You must also develop the necessary oral presentation, resume writing, networking, wardrobe, and career planning skills. Toward this end, the Fox School of Business and Management will provide you with several opportunities to gain exposure to and develop these important skills (i.e., Business Awareness Events, Student Professional Organizations). In recognition of your development in this area, you will receive ½ of one percentage point for each Business Awareness Event and SPO event (where there is a business professional speaker) that you attend (not to exceed 2% added to your grade). To receive credit, you must submit a one-page analysis of what was presented and an evaluation of what you learned from the presentation within one week of the presentation, as well as the business card of the featured speaker. All written work must meet assignment standards.
