Please view the video, The Importance of Tacit Knowledge in Education (14:38) and read Sternberg’s discussion on the two systems of thinking (tacit/intuitive and reasoning) on page 80 in your text by Merriam and Bierema. On page 87 of Taylor and Marienau’s text, there is a discussion of how reflection is the bridge between tacit and explicit (or conscious) knowing.
